MainStay Productions, who have contributed a number of wonderful shorts to the Hunger Games community, have just announced they are launching a new YouTube channel called MainStaySuperfights. This site will feature your favorite characters battling it out, and they are starting it all off with an epic battle between Katniss and Bella!

The amazing nikola-nickart made this edit of Gale and Madge posing for a Capitol portrait. As we all know, Madge was unfortunately cut from the movie so we don’t have an official actress for her. Who knows if Gadge was really a thing, but by the looks of this portrait poor Gale only has eyes for one Katniss Everdeen.
You may recall we recently shared some pretty amazing Capitol Ads created by Nikola-Nickart, well it looks like he isn’t done with the Capitol Couture theme as we’ve found a couple more! The first one is a Capitol Fashion Week promotion, which the Capitol would likely have, right? Below that we have a very colorful Octavia with a brief biography. David Tutuera, Melissa Sweet, and David’s Bridal Design Team have come up with five designs for Katniss’ iconic wedding dress from Catching Fire. The designs are based on Katniss’ own description of the dress:
”He unzips the bag, revealing one of the wedding dresses I wore for the photo shoot. Heavy white silk with a low neckline and tight waist and sleeves that fall from my wrists to the floor. And pearls. Everywhere pearls. Stitched into the dress and in ropes at my throat and forming the crown for the veil. Even though they announced the Quarter Quell the night of the photo shoot, people still voted for their favorite dress, and this was the winner.”

Here’s an interesting Catching Fire themed fan edit by tumblr user sainteverdeen. I love that it’s black and white, and while the clock face takes center stage, it’s not an arena-based image, like we often see. In addition, it seems to be inspired by the teaser trailer, which we can’t get enough of!

We imagine Peeta must bake her a spectacular birthday cake each year, so we would hope this year isn’t any different. But, what do you think Gale would do for her? If the humorous depiction below (by an unknown artist, please tell us if you know who its creator is!) is any indication, it looks like he’s falling a bit short of the mark. We waited all days guys, and he’s finally here! Cinna’s always worth the wait, right? Check out Capitol Couture’s profile on him below!
For Cinna, fashion isn’t simply a career. It’s a calling. “I always channel my emotions into my work,” he says.
When it was announced that he would be styling the tributes of District 12 in the 74th Hunger Games, many Capitol observers were confused; just who was this mysterious stylist taking over District 12 duties?
Yet for Cinna it was a chance to prove himself, and this unique opportunity has paid off in spades. After the unprecedented dual victory of Katniss and Peeta, he has become the Capitol’s most sought after designer, his iconic “girl on fire” dress quickly making him a household name. In fact, many of the Capitol’s fashion elite wouldn’t be caught dead wearing anyone else these days.
And what surprising inspiration does Cinna credit for that fiery creation? The coal mines of Katniss’s District 12: “What do we do with coal?” he asks. “We burn it.”
As the entire Capitol, and the more fashionable District citizenry, awaits his next move with bated breath, the fashion phenom is playing things close to his fabulously dressed chest. When asked what’s in store for the newly-minted style guru, Cinna’s been known to simply shrug and smile coyly – silently reassuring us that whatever it is will leave us awestruck. Until then, keep twirling…
Mockingdream on tumblr has created this edit of Katniss’s transformation into the Mockingjay! After watching this scene in the Catching Fire trailer, it seems like a good time to share this.

Nikola Nickart, who is arguably one the fandom’s best artists, has created this edit of Natalie Dormer as Cressida. Who I must say is looking defiant! Now that we’re finally getting some Mockingjay casting news, we can only hope Nikola keeps the edits coming as more cast members are announced–we love his work!
Well this was a nice surprise today! The Hunger Games Explorer site has 20 stills of characters from Catching Fire along with bios of the actors who portray them! Not only to we get some great shots of Katniss and Peeta, but of many of the other Victors (like a smiling Mags), Caesar, President Snow, and more!
Now that you’ve seen them all, which one(s) do you like best?! It’s hard to choose, isn’t it?

Thoughts? Personally I think it’s a bold and powerful image–another great look at Katniss with her hair down–a marked change from the first movie.
